How to install MowClean
Does your mower bag have the black plastic strips in the picture above which hold the grass bag onto the metal frame? If yes, then MowClean will install on your mower easily. Your mower bag slips inside of MowClean and then the MowClean fabric is held in place with the black plastic strips.
To install the MowClean air filtering bag cover, follow these steps.
1) Identify the top of the MowClean cover. Look inside of your cover, there will be the word ‘top’ written inside.
2) Slide your grass bag carefully inside of MowClean bag. Ensure that when you slide the grass bag inside that the filter is not being crushed or ripped.
Then disconnect the plastic strips that hold the grass bag onto the metal frame. See image for a picture of the plastic strips.
3) First slide your grass bag all the way back into MowClean, to find the end of the bag. This step is important to fit the cover to your grass bag properly. Then slide your grass bag forward 1 inch to allow room between grass bag and MowClean.
4) Wrap the MowClean fabric for just one side of the grass bag, around the metal bag frame. Ensure that there is still one inch of space at the end of the mower bag.
5) With the fabric folded over the bag frame, replace the plastic strip onto the bag frame. On at least one side the fabric will wrap around the frame from a direction different than the other sides.
6) When complete, double check that MowClean is installed and has one inch of space at the back of the grass bag to ensure the fit is right. See step 4. If installed correctly, the military grade material will last for many years.
7) There may be excess material at the opening of the bag. This is ok. It is to ensure you can fit your grass bag properly. Just fold it inside the grass bag and press it as flat as you can to allow grass and air to flow inside.
8) On some mowers the grass bag handle will be inside of MowClean. Our user tests show that removing the grass bag by placing your hand on the opening and other hand on the rear of the grass bag works just fine. The design of the bag is to force the air through the filter and if there were holes on the top for the handle the fast moving air would rush out those holes.
9) Smile, your are done. Install the grass bag back on the mower and enjoy a much cleaner mowing experience.
